WATER, SANITATION & HYGIENE PROGRAM

In South Sudan, millions of women and children trek for up to eight hours a day to collect water from marshes, ditches, or hand-dug wells where water is often contaminated with parasites and bacteria. The results are sickness, even death.

NUTRITION

Christ Mission to the World (CMW) has designed programmes that directly treat and prevent malnutrition. The programme works to develop local capacity for finding long-term solutions, and to influence the local community participation on food production for nutrition security.

HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT

The provision of food assistance, alongside other necessities such as shelter, healthcare, and clean water, can help prevent and mitigate the negative impacts of food insecurity. This can take many forms, from the distribution of emergency food rations to the implementation of agricultural programs that support local food production.

FISHERIES PRODUCTION

. CMW plans to carry out this programme by distributing fishing kits to poor and most vulnerable communities to enable them access to enough food for about six months, either through household consumption or sales in the market.
